A new yoga studio has opened in historic Mission Beach shopping district. The business is named Mission Beach Yoga, the studio offers a beautiful modern space with energizing yoga teachers.
The mission of the studio is “To empower each individual to seek their truest self and live their most authentic life. To reconnect the mind, body and soul on one’s personal journey to enlightenment, happiness and contentment.”
Mission Beach Yoga Class Descriptions
Yin w/ Reiki is a lot slower pace class that is not heated and props are greatly encouraged. We will guide you through this two part restorative class: Yin yoga involves passive postural holds (3-7 minutes) of poses that aim to loosen the tight muscle fascia that lie deep inside the body. Over time, you will increase flexibility in your body, range of motion in your joints, and stillness in your mind. Students are often encouraged to drop in to their subtle body using various techniques of mediation, breathwork, and mindfulness. Reiki energy balancing is a healing technique that has been practiced for thousands of year. From Japanese origin, Reiki can harmonize and balance the life force energy within which assists students achieve a deeper sense of relaxation.
Yin/Yang blends two complementary styles of yoga practice. It is specifically designed to incorporate the vigorous, heat building qualities of an active yang practice with the slow, restorative aspect of yin yoga. By combining dynamic yang movements with nourishing yin releases, each student can be sure to find full body balance inside
and out. Beginner friendly!
Yin/ Restorative is a slow-paced style of yoga with postures or asanas that are held for comparatively long periods of time. It’s goal is to apply moderate stress to the connective tissues—the tendons, fascia, and ligaments—and aim to increase circulation in the joints while improving flexibility.
Power Flow is a challenging heated class which includes intelligent sequencing, arm balances, inversions and more advanced postures. Set to an energizing playlist you’ll leave feeling energized and rejuvenated!
Candlelight Slow Flow is a slower paced vinyasa class where yogis hold postures for a few more Ujjayi breaths than usual. With a peaceful candlelit background, this class is a perfect way to wind down your day.
Candlelight Vinyasa Flow is an all levels vinyasa class in a peaceful candlelit background. A perfect way to wind down the day. This calm setting will fade away all distractions while filling your mind & body with contentment to encourage a good night sleep after a workout.

Yoga Sculpt is a total body workout designed to sculpt every major muscle. This Vinyasa-based practice provides free weights and cardio to reach your maximum level of intensity in each pose. A mix of strength training moves like squats, cardio bursts, lunges and various weighted variations. The goal of yoga sculpt is to build on your Vinyasa practice like never before!
Hot Fusion is a true blend of balance, core strengthening and flexibility, Hot Fusion combines the meditative, detoxifying qualities of hot yoga with the intensity of power yoga to help you deepen your yoga practice. Set to motivating music, you’ll focus on yoga postures that open the shoulders, hips and spine while strengthening your core and upper body. Bring a yoga mat, a towel and water.
Morning Stretch/ Meditation A great way to start your day! This class is geared towards relaxing the body with some light stretching while quieting the mind. You will practice a peaceful meditation with positive intention setting to get ready for the week that lies ahead of you!
