Two people were not injured when a sailboat washed ashore in south Mission Beach.
Lifeguards responded around 5am to a call about a sailboat being overturned in the surf.
The north mission jetty is missing a guiding light, and the captain of the boat believed he was clear of the surf but overturned after being caught in a wave.
